FerroTec is seeking a Senior Production Planner to develop and optimize production schedules in alignment with demand forecasts and inventory levels. The role requires close collaboration with procurement, engineering, quality control, and logistics to achieve on-time delivery and cost efficiency.
The successful candidate will analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement Lean manufacturing improvements to enhance productivity and product quality.

The Production Planner is responsible for developing, managing, and optimizing production schedules to ensure that products are manufactured and delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires close collaboration with various departments, including procurement, engineering, quality control, and logistics, to align production goals with company objectives. The Senior Production Planner also analyzes production data, identifies bottlenecks, and implements solutions to improve efficiency and productivity.
Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
Monitor production processes, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in priorities, material availability, or unexpected issues.
Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels.
Work with the procurement team to minimize excess inventory and reduce waste.
Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
Serve as a key liaison between production, procurement, quality control, engineering, and logistics departments.
Communicate production status, delays, and issues to relevant stakeholders.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to align production goals with overall company objectives.
Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory levels.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in production planning or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Proven experience with production scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
