Job summary

TRANSPAK PENANG SDN. BHD. in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to prepare and maintain production plans based on customer orders and delivery requirements.

You will monitor progress, identify delays, and coordinate with the Production Supervisor to ensure smooth daily production. The role emphasizes strong Excel dashboard development, data analysis skills and capacity planning, with exposure to ERP/MRP beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong Microsoft Excel and dashboard development skills.
• Solid data analysis abilities.
• Experience in production planning within a manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and production workflows.
• Experience with capacity and manpower planning; ERP/MRP exposure is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain production plans based on customer orders and delivery requirements.
• Monitor production progress against the plan and highlight delays or gaps.
• Analyze capacity, manpower and output to support planning.
• Develop and maintain Excel dashboards and production KPI reports.
• Analyze daily production data to identify trends, gaps and bottlenecks.
• Track work orders status, production output, efficiency and pending orders.
• Collaborate with Production Supervisor for daily planning, follow-up and coordination.
• Support manpower and capacity planning.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports for management.
• Consolidate and analyze production data from relevant departments.
• Provide data-based recommendations for production improvement.
• Support MPS and short-term production planning.
• Improve existing Excel reporting and data-tracking systems.
• Carry out other duties as assigned by Head of Department.

Track WO status, production output, efficiency and pending orders.

Work closely with the Production Supervisor to support daily production planning, follow-up and coordination.

Support manpower and capacity planning.

Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production reports for management.

Consolidate and analyze production data from relevant departments.

Provide data-based recommendations for production improvement.

Support MPS and short-term production planning.

Improve existing Excel reporting and data-tracking systems.

Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Perform any other ad hoc tasks as assigned by Head of Department.

Understand on the requirements for a QMS, including documented information, planning and determining process interactions.
