Job summary

GES Manufacturing Services (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planning professional to manage the Master Production Schedule and coordinate with related departments to ensure product, volume and shipment meet targets.

The role includes releasing and maintaining WOs in SAP, monitoring production against MPS, and driving on-time closures while collaborating to determine in-house material requirements and inventory controls.

• Clear oral and written communication abilities.
• Good PC literacy and office software competence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Master Production Schedule (MPS) to optimize resources.
• Release and maintain Work Orders (WO) in SAP based on PO requirements.
• Monitor production against MPS and close WOs on time.
• Collaborate with departments to determine in-house material requirements.
• Manage demand, inventory and supply; improve inventory controls.
• Support ECN deviations with Engineering and QA for production planning.
• Assist Program Management on E&O and project milestones.
• Participate in NPI projects and interplant transfers.
• Meet KPI targets for Planning Department.
• Handle other duties as assigned by Planning Manager.

Job description

Prepare Master Production Schedule (MPS), optimizing the use of available resources and coordinate with related departments to ensure product, volume and shipment are meeting targeted levels.

Release and Maintenance of Work Orders (WO) in SAP based on Customers' Purchase Order Requirements, and commit shipments against required dates.

Monitor and ensure Production follow strictly to the MPS / Priority, and to close WO within the targeted timeline.

Collaborate across departments to determine materials in house requirements and meeting the production plan effectively.

Manage demand exceptions, inventory and supply.

Evaluating inventory turns performance and implementing inventory controls, such as materials pull and push strategies based on planning analysis.

Work with Engineering for ECN and deviations, as well as QA on quality issue that affects production planning.

Supporting Program Management on the E&O and follow through for closure.

Participate in NPI Projects and support for achieve milestones of the project delivery schedule.

Participate in Interplant Product Transfer activities.

To meet KPI of Planning Department.

Any other duties as assigned by Planning Manager/company.
