Job summary

Microchip Technology Inc. in Penang, Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to support production and operations to meet customer requirements and business objectives.

You will coordinate material planning, orders with contract manufacturers, and inventory management while generating weekly planning reports. Requirements include a 2–3 year background in production or supply chain, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Excel and ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field such as SCM, business admin, ops management, or industrial engineering.
• 2–3 years of experience in production planning, material planning, or supply chain.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan production and manage orders with contract manufacturers.
• Review MRP outputs to ensure supply readiness.
• Monitor orders to meet customer commitments.
• Support consign inventory and material management.
• Coordinate RMA, rework and conversions.
• Support finished goods planning and inventory management.
• Generate weekly planning reports and analyze data.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve issues.
