Job summary

Chi Cheng Technology (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang, Malaysia, invites a skilled Supply Chain Planner to review, release, expedite, de-expedite, and cancel POs based on MRP, and to identify critical raw materials for allocation plans.

You will forecast monthly raw materials, control WIP and FG inventories, coordinate with production to meet weekly plans, and liaise with suppliers and customer service to resolve delivery issues and confirm orders.

Qualifications

• Review, release, expedite, de-expedite, and cancel POs based on MRP.
• Identify potential critical raw materials, provide actions, and prepare supply allocation plans.
• Analyze and escalate any significant raw materials and supplier delivery issues to the manager and ensure smooth production plan and supply to customer.
• Check raw materials and resources availability, plan for production scheduling.
• To prepare monthly raw materials forecast for purchasing department.
• Control WIP and FG inventories at optimum level and minimize product scrap or aging.
• Work closely with Production to fulfil 100% of line items in weekly production plan.
• Work closely with customer service on delivery issues and order confirmations.
• Frequent review on short-term forecast loading to prevent excessive raw materials being purchased.
• Check delivery plan and follow up on shipment status with suppliers.
• Responding to customers' sale order RFS date (Ready Firmed Ship) commitment and demand inquiries.
• Good understanding of product transition which impacts the raw material, including phase-in and phase-out timeline.
• Able to lead product transition meetings in the supply chain team.

• Collaborate with Production to meet weekly production plans.
• Coordinate with Customer Service on delivery issues and order confirmations.
• Review short-term forecasts to prevent excess purchases.
• Monitor delivery plans and follow up on shipment status with suppliers.
• Respond to RFS commitments and demand inquiries.
• Understand product transitions and timelines for raw materials; lead transition meetings.
