Job summary

Ichor Systems, Inc. is seeking a Production Planner in Malaysia to help ensure production activities run smoothly and on schedule.

You will coordinate production schedules, manage material availability and WIP, and work closely with Production and cross-functional teams to keep manufacturing on track. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 2 years of production planning experience, with strong knowledge of MRP/ERP and Excel for planning and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Business Management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning or material planning in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of MRP and ERP systems used for production and material planning.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for planning and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with good organizational skills.
• Effective communication and coordination across Production, Stores and Supply Chain teams.
• Ability to work independently with moderate supervision in a fast-paced setting.
• Attention to deadlines and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in a semiconductor manufacturing context is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and coordinate the flow of materials between production stages for Ichor products.
• Review production schedules and identify upcoming material, equipment, and resource needs.
• Monitor WIP and work orders; address variances with Production and Stores.
• Resolve production and material issues promptly to maintain schedules.
• Manage changes to WIP jobs and work orders with relevant teams.
• Coordinate production priorities based on material, manpower, and equipment availability.
• Monitor progress against schedules and flag risks or delays to stakeholders.
• Prepare and communicate production status and performance reports to management.
• Collaborate across departments to improve production flow and meet deadlines.
