Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a production planner to organize production inputs and coordinate plant activities to ensure timely shipments. The role requires a diploma or A level and 1–2 years in production planning.

You will work with production, operations, warehouse, logistics, and purchasing to maintain smooth material flow and maximize efficiency. Strong Excel skills and team orientation are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma in any field or A level is required.
• 1–2 years of experience in production planning or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; strong organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare production schedules to maximize efficiency and minimize wastage.
• Monitor production performance and expedite parts to ensure on-time delivery.
• Expedite operations that delay schedules and adjust plans for unforeseen events.
• Follow up on production progress to meet shipment dates.
• Maintain WIP and inventory storage.
• Coordinate with production, operations, warehouse, logistics and purchasing to ensure smooth flow of materials.
• Utilize resources effectively and relocate as needed.

The main purpose of a production planner is to arrange production inputs, coordinating and synchronizing plant activities for smooth working as to achieve shipments are delivered on time.

Job Requirements:

Qualification

Must possess at least a Diploma in any field or A level.

Experience

At least 1 to 2 years experience in production planning or relevant field.

Skills

• Competent in Microsoft Excel.
• Sense of urgency & team spirit.
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required.

Job Responsibilities:

1) To prepare the production schedule in such a way that optimum production is achieved with maximum efficiency and minimum wastage.

2) To monitor and follow up closely on production performance and expedite parts to ensure part flow to the next process sequence and on time.

3) Expedites operation that delays schedule & alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

4) To follow up & monitor closely production progress according to schedule in order to meet shipment date.

5) To maintain WIP and storage of inventories.

6) To coordinate with production, operations, warehouse, logistics & purchasing on delivery of WIP / parts/material to ensure the smooth flow of production.

7) To effectively utilize the available resources and make alternative changes to relocate when the need arises.

9) Any other duties as assigned by superior.
