Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to oversee the entire production department under the guidance of the Production Director. You will organize cross-department activities, implement policies, and drive improvements in procedures to ensure quality and efficiency.

The role requires a strong background in full-process production technology, Lean/6Sigma expertise, and experience managing large-scale mass production, with emphasis on safety, regulatory compliance, and cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical/Electronic/Industrial Engineering or related fields.
• Over 5 years of management experience.
• Proficient in the full-process production technology of server systems, familiar with Lean/6Sigma production systems, and experienced in managing large-scale mass production.
• Familiar with Malaysian employment regulations and occupational health and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all production department operations under the direction of the Production Director.
• Organize and coordinate departmental activities with other departments, implement company policies, and develop and improve departmental procedures.
• Monitor production processes and resolve quality or efficiency issues promptly.
• Set production targets, quality objectives, and develop training plans and programs for the department.
• Conduct production meetings, coordinate production preparation and post-production reviews, assign tasks, and monitor work progress based on operational needs and management instructions.
• Implement and maintain 8S practices to ensure a safe, clean, and organized workplace.
• Monitor production capacity, communicate production plans, and follow up on production schedules to ensure timely delivery.
• Review daily production performance, monitor task completion, and verify overtime records for each team.
• Control production costs, minimize material waste, and monitor work-in-progress (WIP) inventory.
