Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Production Manager to ensure efficient, cost-effective manufacturing operations for a sauce production plant. You will approve schedules, manage overtime and manpower within budget, and escalate issues to HR as needed.

The role requires a degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management with 10+ years of leadership in sauce production, and strong English and Bahasa Malaysia communication skills.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Operations Management or related field.
• At least 10 years of experience overseeing sauce manufacturing plant.
• Excellent communication skills in English & Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Approve daily/shift production schedules and line allocations within agreed capacity.
• Authorise overtime, shift changes, and temporary manpower adjustments within approved budget.
• Escalate major quality, safety, or compliance issues to HR as per escalation matrix.
• Recommend disciplinary action and remunerations for direct reports in line with HR policy.
• Coordinate and facilitate inter-department and inter-section production flow.
• Prepare, monitor and verify daily report on set production target, stock/inventory levels and production output.
• Supervise production flow, processes and manpower to ensure compliance and adherence to quality, delivery target and stock availability.
• Troubleshoot to resolve production delays, downtime and problems.
• Plan continuous periodical competency & Safety training for production/Maintenance team.
• Prepare annual budget and track production costs to control expenses.

To ensure manufacturing operation processes run smoothly, cost effectively and deliver products within timeline. Accountable for efficiency level on production output for each production lines and sections. Ensure finished products met the quality standard and within the allocated timeline and budget.

Key responsibilities

About you

Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering / Operations Management or related field

At least 10 years working experience in overseeing sauce manufacturing plant

Preferably Manager specializing in Sauce production operation or equivalent

Excellent communication skill, both oral and written in English & Bahasa Malaysia

Ability to work independently in a changing and multi-tasking environment and numerous deadlines

Effective time management, strong organizational and planning abilities

Attention to details in problem solving

Good People Management and inter-personal skill
