Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer orders.
  • Allocate manpower, machinery, and equipment resources; monitor progress and resolve issues to meet on-time delivery and quality targets.
  • Review, analyze, and consolidate production data for performance tracking and improvement.
  • Standardise SOPs, implement 5S and visual management for efficiency.
  • Maintain quality control; follow up on defects and reduce scrap and rework.
  • Establish preventive maintenance for CNC machines and manage material usage to minimise waste.

  • Develop monthly, weekly, and daily production plans based on customer orders.
  • Allocate manpower, machinery, and equipment resources effectively. o Monitor production progress and resolve production issues to ensure orders are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Review, analyse, and consolidate production data for performance tracking and improvement.
2. Production Floor & Quality Management
  • Standardise SOPs for each machining process and implement 5S and visual management practices to improve production efficiency.
  • Maintain strict control over machining quality, follow up on corrective actions for defects, and reduce scrap and rework rates.
3. Cost Reduction & Productivity Improvement
  • Control production costs including consumables, energy, equipment, and manpower.
  • Analyse production bottlenecks and optimise processes and workflows.
  • Improve equipment utilisation and overall production capacity while achieving the company's production KPIs.
4. Equipment & Material Management
  • Establish and maintain preventive maintenance systems for workshop equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and grinding machines, to ensure stable operations.
  • Manage material usage and turnover to minimise waste.
  • Work closely with relevant teams to optimise machining processes,
  • tooling, and fixtures.
5. Team Management
  • Manage local employees, including manpower scheduling, performance management, training, and employee retention.
  • Adapt to the Malaysian labour environment and build a stable, high- performing, and execution-oriented production team.
6. Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with Malaysian occupational health and safety
  • regulations.
  • Conduct safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and implement appropriate safety measures to prevent workplace accidents.
  • Ensure the factory operates in compliance with relevant regulations and collaborate effectively with other departments.
Requirements

1. Education: Diploma or above. Candidates with related fields are preferred.

2. Experience: At least 5 years of production management experience, with a good understanding of the overall machining process.

3. Proficiency in Mandarin is required.

4. Core Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of machining operations, including production floor, quality, cost, and equipment management.
  • Experienced in production capacity optimisation, cost reduction, productivity improvement, and team management.
  • Able to independently handle and resolve unexpected production issues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management systems
