Johor Bahru seeks an experienced Production Manager to plan and oversee daily to monthly production schedules, ensuring targets are met within quality and budget constraints. You will lead supervisors and workers, optimize workflow, control costs, and enforce GMP, HACCP, and Halal where relevant, while coordinating with Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, and Sales to maintain smooth operations.

Qualificações

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Production Management, Manufacturing, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant production experience, preferably with 2–3 years in supervision/management.
• Experience in food manufacturing, processing, packaging, or FMCG is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, inventory control, and cost optimization.
• Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, food safety regulations, and SOPs.

Responsabilidades

1. Production Planning & Operations Management

Plan, organize, and oversee daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on sales forecasts and operational requirements.

Ensure production targets are achieved within the required timeline, quality standards, and allocated budget.

Monitor production progress and take corrective action to resolve delays, bottlenecks, and operational issues.

Coordinate with Purchasing, Warehouse, Logistics, Sales, and other departments to ensure smooth production operations.

Manage production capacity and resources effectively, especially during peak seasons.

2. Manpower Planning & Team Management

Plan and allocate manpower according to production requirements and workload.

Lead, supervise, train, and evaluate production supervisors, team leaders, and production workers.

Monitor employee productivity, attendance, overtime, and work performance.

Establish clear responsibilities, productivity targets, and performance expectations.

Promote teamwork, accountability, discipline, and a positive working environment.

3. Production Efficiency & Cost Control

Monitor and improve production efficiency, productivity, and overall operational performance.

Control production costs, including manpower, materials, overtime, and operational expenses.

Identify opportunities to reduce material wastage, product defects, and unnecessary production costs.

Implement process improvements to optimise workflow, production capacity, and resource utilisation.

Analyze production performance and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

4. Quality Control & Food Safety Compliance

Ensure all products meet company quality standards and customer requirements.

Enforce production SOPs, hygiene standards, and workplace safety regulations.

Ensure compliance with applicable food safety requirements, including GMP, HACCP, and Halal standards where relevant.

Investigate production defects, quality issues, and customer complaints, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain proper production documentation, inspection records, and quality control reports.

5. Inventory & Material Management

Coordinate with Purchasing and Warehouse teams to ensure sufficient raw materials and packaging supplies.

Monitor material usage, inventory accuracy, and production-related stock movement.

Prevent material shortages, overproduction, unnecessary wastage, and stock discrepancies.

Ensure proper material handling, storage practices, and stock rotation procedures.

Establish and monitor production KPIs, including output achievement, productivity, wastage, quality, and cost efficiency.

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production performance reports for management review.

Identify operational weaknesses and implement corrective actions.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality.

Support management in production expansion, process optimisation, and capacity planning.

Job Requirements

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Production Management, Manufacturing, Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.

Minimum 5 years of relevant production experience, preferably with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial position.

Experience in food manufacturing, food processing, packaging, or FMCG industries is an added advantage.

Strong knowledge of production planning, manpower management, inventory control, and cost optimisation.

Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, food safety regulations, and production SOPs.

Strong leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and organisational skills.

Able to work under pressure, manage tight deadlines, and handle high-volume seasonal production.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and production reporting; ERP system experience is an advantage.

Good communication and coordination skills.
