Job summary

Wasco Process Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Expeditor to oversee shop fabrication projects, ensuring timely execution and smooth coordination across project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.

The role emphasizes developing and updating fabrication schedules, identifying critical paths, and maintaining progress reports while ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in any Engineering discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in fabrication or construction.
• Good analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and production workflows is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Act as Project Expeditor for all ongoing shop fabrication projects, ensuring smooth coordination and timely execution of all activities.
• Develop, update, and continuously monitor fabrication schedules to ensure alignment with project timelines and delivery commitments.
• Identify critical path activities and prioritize execution to prevent delays and support on time delivery.
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Engineers, production teams, and subcontractors to resolve scheduling conflicts and ensure workflow continuity.
• Control and monitor subcontractor manpower allocation to ensure tasks are properly executed according to plan and productivity targets are met.
• Communicate and liaise with clients on project progress, updates, and any schedule changes in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist in resource planning, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to optimize fabrication efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards, safety requirements, and operational procedures during project execution.
• Prepare and coordinate progress reports, presentations, and project updates for management and clients.
• Maintain accurate and up to date documentation related to schedules, progress tracking, and project changes.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required to support project goals.
