Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Assistant / Production Manager to support manufacturing processes to run reliably and efficiently. You will assist in planning, scheduling, and coordinating production activities to meet delivery timelines.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in production roles, are independent, and demonstrate strong communication and teamwork. Knowledge of ISO standards and the paper-making industry is a plus, with exposure to safety and quality systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a production-related role.
• Independent and able to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication and coordination skills; responsible and hardworking.
• Knowledge of ISO and paper making industry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist on planning and organizing production schedules to ensure on-time product delivery
• Create schedules (shift pattern) for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels
• Assist on production processes and organizing workflow to meet specifications and deadline
• Monitor the process, productivity and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE)
• Supervise and evaluate performance of production personnel; monitor quality control to ensure product quality and adherence to standards
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines as well as legal obligation: OSHA (Amendment) Act 2022
• Active participation in implementing the Safety policy and programs
• Assist to maintain certificated accredited systems for Safety (ISO 45001), Quality (ISO 9001), Environment (ISO 14001), Energy Management (ISO 50001) and Compliance Management (ISO 37301 New).
• Cooperating with and support the compliance management system and encouraging personnel to practice
• Developing personnel awareness of product compliance obligations
• Actively participate in corrective actions from concerns or internal audits
