Job summary

The Production Engineer will work to optimize processes, update MES data, and apply IPC/workmanship standards while collaborating with cross-functional teams across the BizLink

Qualifications

• Have experience in manufacturing industry with knowledge of assembly techniques, crimping standards, pull-force testing, IPC/workmanship standards, and visual inspection methods.
• Capability to use ERP system; experience with SAP is an added advantage.
• Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is an added advantage.
• Must possess at least a professional certificate, diploma or advanced/higher/graduated diploma in engineering or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets, quality and delivery requirements.
• Lead continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality and manufacturing efficiency.
• Manage and maintain production tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure smooth production operations.
• Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions.
• Update and maintain MES system data, process models, and Work Instruction (WI).
• Deliver technical and hands-on training on production processes, equipment, and manufacturing systems.
• Evaluate and certify personnel competency to meet production and quality requirements.
• Promote quality, safety, 5S, and continuous improvement within the production area.
• Monitor training effectiveness through competency assessments and periodic evaluations.

Job description

Monitor daily production activities to achieve production targets, quality and delivery requirements

Lead continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality and manufacturing efficiency

Manage and maintain production tools, jigs, and fixtures to ensure smooth production operations

Troubleshooting production issues and implementing corrective actions

Monitor and improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and equipment performance

Involve in engineering activities, including documentation updates and process improvements

Cycle time studies, line balancing, and productivity improvement projects

Update and maintain MES system data, process models, and Work Instruction (WI)

Ensure compliance with safety, quality and product procedures

Conduct induction, orientation, and OJT for Production Operators and Technicians

Deliver technical and hands-on training on production processes, equipment, and manufacturing systems

Evaluate and certify personnel competency to meet production and quality requirements

Maintain training records, competency certifications and skill matrix

Promote quality, safety, 5S, and continuous improvement within the production area

Monitor training effectiveness through competency assessments and periodic evaluations

Requirements:

Have experience in manufacturing industry, advantages if possess experience and knowledge of assembly techniques, crimping standards, pull-force testing, IPC/workmanship standards, and visual inspection methods.
