Job summary

WSA VENTURE AUSTRALIA (M) SDN BHD is seeking an Engineer/Executive or Sr. Engineer/Sr. Executive to support Lean Production System (LPS) initiatives in a manufacturing environment.

You will drive production engineering activities, coordinate data for improvements, and lead process optimization projects alongside the Head of Department. The role emphasizes maintaining IATF16949 requirements, time-motion based cycle time changes, and layout improvements to optimize part flow and standardized work.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in engineering or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of manufacturing experience for Engineer/Executive.
• 3–5 years of manufacturing experience for Sr. Engineer/Sr. Executive.
• Strong problem solving and project management skills.
• Training in problem solving and QC 7 tools.
• Training in Lean Production System (LPS) methodologies and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Execute Lean Production System (LPS) implementation together with HOD.
• Execute Production Engineering activities implementation together with HOD.
• Coordinate data collection, compilation and analysis for improvement activities.
• Execute process improvement activities together with HOD.
• Monitor ongoing improvement projects.
• Maintain and review IATF16949 requirements related to Production Engineering.
• Change process cycle time based on Time Motion Study.
• Change production layout based on Part Flow Analysis and Standardized Work Analysis.

Engineer/Executive or Sr. Engineer/Sr. Executive position in a manufacturing environment focused on Lean Production System (LPS) implementation, production engineering activities, and continuous process improvement.

Key responsibilities

Execute Lean Production System (LPS) implementation together with HOD

Execute Production Engineering activities implementation together with HOD

Coordinate data collection, compilation and carry out analysis for all improvement activities

Execute process improvement activities together with HOD

Monitor on-going projects in improvement activities

Maintain and review IATF16949 requirement related to Production Engineering department

Change Process Cycle Time based on Time Motion Study

Change Production Layout based on Part Flow Analysis and Standardized Work Analysis

About you

Minimum Diploma/Degree in Engineering field or equivalent

Engineer/Executive: Minimum 1-3 years working experience in manufacturing field

Sr. Engineer/Sr. Executive: Minimum 3-5 years working experience in manufacturing field

Problem Solving and Project Management skills

Training in Problem Solving and QC 7 Tools

Training in Lean Production System (LPS) Methodology & Technique
