Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• At least 2 years in construction or precast industry.
• PPVC project experience is advantageous.
• Proficient in interpreting production-related drawings.
• Knowledge of precast, building products and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Run and manage the production line including in and outbound works.
• Plan and forecast mould and raw material requirements.
• Forecast manpower for the production line.
• Raise purchase requisitions and ensure proper material storage.
• Carry out trial mixes and update design mixes as moisture varies.
• Assist management to supervise supervisors and workers for on-time production and delivery.
• Coordinate with Planning, QC, Sub-contractor, Technical, Procurement and Mould teams for smooth production.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and ISO procedures.
• Monitor material usage and wastage.
• Ensure end products meet client specifications.

Job description

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Engineer is responsible for running his production line, including all incoming, in process and outgoing works for all products and materials.

A summary of the responsibilities of this position are, and not limited to, as follows:

To perform optimal planning & forecasting of mould and raw material requirement.

To calculate and forecast manpower planning for the production line

To raise purchase requisition for production material requirements and to ensure that materials are properly stored in the factory

To carry out trial mixes, maintain and update design mixes; and amend concrete batches due to fluctuation of moisture content mostly of raw materials

To assist Production Manager in managing a team of supervisors, and workers in ensuring timely production and delivery of precast components

To coordinate between Planning team, Quality Control team, Sub-contractor, technical team, Material Procurement and Mould team to ensure smooth production

To ensure compliance with all safety regulations as well ISO procedures and standards

To monitor/control material usage & wastage

To ensure end product meets projects/clients quality requirements and specifications

Adherence to safety practices in the workplace

Requirements

Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.

At least minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in construction or precast industry

Prior experience in PPVC projects/ tunnel lining segment production will be an added advantage

Proficient in interpreting all production-related drawings

Knowledge of building construction, application of precast and prefabricated building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
