The Production Engineer provides technical support for production activities, including CNC Turning operations, machine tooling setup, troubleshooting and CNC program coding, ensuring smooth operation of equipment, processes and related systems. The role involves monitoring and analysing production workflows to identify opportunities for improvement in quality, productivity, cycle time, tool life and efficiency, while leading and guiding operators and technicians in performing daily production activities.
Provide technical support for production activities, including CNC Turning operations, machine tooling setup, troubleshooting and CNC program coding, ensuring smooth operation of equipment, processes and related systems.
Monitor and analyse production workflows to identify opportunities for improvement in quality, productivity, cycle time, tool life and efficiency.
Lead and guide operators and technicians in performing daily production activities, maintaining discipline and ensuring adherence to production schedules.
Assist in implementing automation strategies and CNC process enhancements to support precision manufacturing standards, leveraging high-end robotic arms for machining.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues and align engineering solutions with customer requirements.
Support facility planning and production layout design to optimize resource utilization, throughput, and workstation efficiency.
Ensure compliance with quality methodologies, safety procedures and manufacturing standards, contributing to proactive quality management and issue resolution.
Participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by configuring CNC machining programs and tooling plans to support seamless transition from prototype to production.
Identify product defects, complete appropriate documentation and recommend corrective actions using structured problem-solving and risk assessment tools.
Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of CNC programs, tooling specifications, machining parameters, engineering changes and production records.
A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a related technical discipline is required; advanced qualifications will be an advantage.
Minimum of 1 year experience in manufacturing or production engineering, with exposure to process improvement and supervisory responsibilities considered beneficial.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation processes, CNC Turning operations, and quality control methodologies.
Ability to support production operations, manage workflows, and contribute to measurable improvements in efficiency and quality.
Commitment to customer satisfaction through proactive quality management and complaint resolution.
Proficient command of Bahasa Melayu and English, both written and spoken.
Reliable attendance and punctuality, with professionalism and integrity in all tasks.
Own transport and commuting ability, ensuring reliability and flexibility to meet operational and customer needs.
