Job summary

Maica Laminates Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to oversee CNC machining operations, including milling and lathe programming, setup, and optimization. The role focuses on achieving quality, productivity, and cost targets while driving improvements across production lines.

You will lead manufacturing planning, commission new equipment, and work with engineers and teams to enhance overall performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechatronics.
• Minimum 2 years of manufacturing industry experience.
• Experience in CNC machining, milling, and lathe operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage CNC machining operations and programming.

Oversee and manage CNC machining operations, including CNC milling and lathe programming, machine setup, process optimization, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient production output, quality requirements, and operational targets are achieved.

Supervise and coordinate manufacturing activities to achieve plant quality, productivity, cost improvement, and production targets.

Lead and manage manufacturing planning, including the development and implementation of production lines in collaboration with related departments.

Commission new equipment, production units, and processes, while overseeing modifications, upgrades, and troubleshooting out-of-control or out-of-specification processes.

Monitor process performance indices and establish effective process controls to maintain consistent manufacturing performance.

Drive continuous process, yield, quality, and cost improvements using appropriate quality improvement tools and methodologies.

Ensure all manufacturing processes comply with product specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements.

Work closely with engineers and production teams to improve machine efficiency, optimize manufacturing processes, and enhance overall operational performance.

Plan and optimize the utilization of manpower, equipment, and other production resources to meet production schedules and KPI targets.

Monitor production progress from raw material to finished goods (PRD & PRC) to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

Investigate production non-conformance issues, implement corrective actions, and monitor their effectiveness.

Ensure good housekeeping practices and maintain 5S standards within the production area.

Ensure compliance with the Company's Management Systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001) and all applicable regulatory requirements.

Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements, including process enhancements, automation opportunities, and employee training to improve quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

Background
