Job summary

Suruga Techno (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd is seeking a talented and experienced Production Engineer to join our manufacturing team in Johor Bahru, Johor. This is a full-time role that focuses on optimizing production processes, implementing improvements and maintaining operational excellence across our facility.

You will plan schedules, monitor equipment, drive continuous improvements, ensure quality and compliance, and mentor production staff while collaborating with maintenance and QA teams to minimise

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in production engineering or similar manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, scheduling and supply chain management.
• Solid understanding of quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and lean manufacturing principles.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills across all levels of the organisation.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in manufacturing.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and oversee daily production schedules to ensure optimal resource utilisation and on-time delivery of products
• Monitor production processes and equipment performance to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies
• Implement process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce costs
• Conduct feasibility studies for new manufacturing processes and equipment
• Develop and maintain production documentation, work instructions and standard operating procedures
• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure products meet required specifications and standards
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions in a timely manner
• Manage production data, analyse trends and prepare reports for senior management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations on the production floor
• Train and supervise production staff on new processes, equipment and safety protocols
• Liaise with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance and minimise downtime
