Job summary

LHL Corporation Sdn Bhd (A Subsidiary Of LHL Singapore) in Malaysia is seeking a Production Engineer to plan, coordinate and monitor production schedules, supervise shop-floor activities and optimise productivity. You will analyse efficiency, lead time and bottlenecks to improve workflows and ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Required qualifications include a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering with 3–5 years in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Experience in production planning, shop-floor supervision and manpower management.
• Knowledge of time study, work study, cycle time analysis and productivity improvement.
• Good understanding of production processes, workflow and resource utilisation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
• Experience in aluminium fabrication, metal fabrication or related manufacturing industries will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and monitor daily, weekly and monthly production schedules to meet customer orders and delivery deadlines.
• Supervise daily shop-floor production activities and allocate manpower according to production requirements.
• Monitor production progress, output, work-in-progress (WIP) and delivery schedules.
• Conduct time studies and work studies to establish standard production cycle times.
• Analyse manpower productivity, machine utilisation and production efficiency.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to enhance workflow and productivity.
• Monitor production wastage, rejection and rework, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Material Planning, Store, Purchasing and QA/QC departments to ensure smooth production flow.
• Prepare and analyse production performance reports.
• Ensure production workers comply with established SOPs, quality standards and occupational safety requirements.

Job description
