Job summary

Seki Aoi Techno (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Production Engineer to plan, organize and monitor production activities at our Malacca plant, ensuring schedules, yield and quality targets are met.

The role requires hands-on leadership, SMT/Dip process knowledge and strong problem-solving skills to reduce downtime and improve product consistency. English and Malay communication is essential; Japanese language is a plus.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field.
• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in any field.
• Assertive leadership, team building, and good motivator.
• Knowledge in SMT and Dip process.
• Knowledge in troubleshooting machine operation is an added advantage.
• Good problem solving skills; willingness to be hands-on.
• Good verbal and intercommunication skills in English and Malay.
• Japanese language is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and monitor all production activities to meet specifications and schedules.
• Analyse production line, quality performance and maintenance records to identify problems and implement corrective actions.
• Plan and manage resources including manpower, assets and capacities to meet department goals.
• Create, maintain and distribute the production master schedule to forecast upcoming work and align with master planning.
• Collaborate with QA and Analysis to resolve bottlenecks and manage material flow.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by superior.

Job description

To plan, organize, direct and monitor all production activities of the plant's resources and meet established production specification and schedules, production yield, inventory, lead-time conformance products, safety, housekeeping, volume, cost and wastage targets, and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Plan, organize, direct and monitor all production activities of the plant's resources and meet established production specification and schedules

Analyse production line, quality performance, maintenance and malfunction records to identify problems, and execute corrective actions to improve production and product consistency and minimize downtime

Plan and manage all resources inclusive of manpower (including determining workload, delegating assignments, evaluating performance and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions), physical assets and capacities using overall company guidelines and operating principles to meet departmental goals and objectives

Create, maintain and distribute the production master schedule to forecast upcoming work follow master planning schedule from PC department and manage procedures and capital resource to maximize productivity

Work with QA and Analysis Department to resolve bottlenecks, work stoppages and manage the flow of materials and completion of work

Perform any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by superior
