Job summary

A & ONE PRECISION ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a Production Engineer to join our Gelang Patah manufacturing team. The role focuses on bridging design and production, optimizing processes, ensuring quality, and driving continuous improvement in precision engineering.

You will interpret complex drawings, set up production, design fixtures, troubleshoot issues on the shop floor, and support 5S and safety standards while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to meet delivery targets and cost

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
• 3–8 years hands-on experience in precision machining, sheet metal or manufacturing.
• Proficient in reading complex drawings and GD&T; CAD experience with ZWCAD3D.

Responsibilities

• Interpret complex drawings to guide machining, sheet metal and fabrication.
• Provide setup support and instructions to operators and machinists.
• Design jigs and fixtures for machining and assembly processes.
• Troubleshoot dimensional non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Use ERP to track parts and support workflow transitions.
• Lead process optimization and RCCA/8D activities.

A & ONE PRECISION ENGINEERING SDN BHD is seeking a talented Production Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Gelang Patah, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes and ensuring the delivery of high-quality precision engineering products. As Production Engineer, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between design and manufacturing, taking responsibility for process optimization, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is essential to maintaining our competitive edge in the mechanical engineering sector and directly contributes to the success of our operations.

Engineering & Technical Support

• 1. Drawings & Programming: Interpret complex technical drawings to guide machining, sheet metal, and fabrication processes.
• 2. Setup & Production Support: Provide hands‑on guidance, setup support, and instructions to operators and machinists.
• 3. Tooling & Fixture Design: Design custom jigs and fixtures for machining, sheet metal, and robotic welding processes (where applicable), applying deep manufacturing knowledge to propose process improvements re‑designs when necessary.
• 4. Troubleshooting & Mechanical Resolution: Take ownership of production‑related matters. Troubleshoot dimensional non‑conformances on the shop floor, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions and remedies.
• 5. System Navigation & Analysis: Use Enterprise Resource Planning to track parts and support seamless workflow transitions (such as BOMs and inventory levels).
• 6. Process Optimization & Failure Analysis: Participate actively in manufacturing and production engineering initiatives to enhance quality, eliminate waste, boost efficiency, and lower costs. Lead failure analyses and recommend robust technical corrective/preventive actions (RCCA / 8D).

Administration & Team Support

• 1. Safety & Workplace Standards: Champion a clean, organized shop floor by maintaining 5S housekeeping and strictly adhering to workplace health and safety rules.
• 2. Documentation Management: Ensure the safe custody, recording, and timely updating of all engineering management administration documentation.
• 3. Team Coordination: Foster a proactive, positive working attitude with fellow team members and other departments to support shared targets, risk assessments, and timely deliverables.

Requirements

• 1. Min. Diploma/Degree level in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or its related discipline (or equivalent practical technical experience).
• 1. Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent practical technical experience).
• 2. Experience: Fresh engineering graduates or candidates with 3 to 8 years of hands‑on experience in a precision machining, sheet metal or manufacturing.
• 3. Technical Mastery & Design: Proficiency in CAD software (such as ZWCAD3D) for designing custom jigs and fixtures, backed by a strong ability to interpret complex mechanical drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Problem‑Solving & Communication: Strong analytical mindset for root‑cause troubleshooting, alongside effective verbal, written, and interpersonal skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
