Job summary

Carsem in Ipoh, Malaysia is seeking an experienced Production Coordinator to support production planning, manage schedules, monitor material availability, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure on-time delivery in a semiconductor manufacturing environment.

Experience in planning, ERP/MRP, and Excel is valued; a Diploma or Degree in related fields plus 3–5 years of production planning experience are required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in Production Planning, Manufacturing Planning, Material Planning, or related function.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; semiconductor industry exposure is a plus.
• Familiar with production scheduling, capacity planning, material planning, and inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production plans to support customer demand and manufacturing schedules.
• Monitor production loading, material availability, and lead times to ensure smooth production flow.
• Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Purchasing, and other departments to meet delivery commitments.
• Update and maintain planning data within the ERP/MRP system.
• Track production progress and identify bottlenecks, delays, or material shortages.
• Prepare planning reports and support production performance analysis.
• Ensure schedules align with capacity, material availability, and customer requirements.

• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning-related systems (ERP/MRP).

• Strong communication and coordination skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.

• Able to perform in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
