Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Planner to coordinate production planning for a semiconductor manufacturing facility. You will translate demand and capacity data into schedules, monitor WIP, and adjust plans to address material constraints and priorities.

You will work with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams, track KPIs, maintain ERP/MES data, and support new product introductions and capacity ramp activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of production planning, scheduling, or materials management experience.
• Experience with SAP order management and EOL/product lifecycle processes is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and advanced Excel is expected.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Reduce SAP system delinquency by resolving overdue orders and data discrepancies.
• Manage End-of-Life (EOL) processes for assigned products/materials.
• Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand and capacity.
• Monitor WIP levels and production flow to identify bottlenecks.
• Adjust schedules due to equipment downtime, material shortages, or priority changes.
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and materials teams to resolve conflicts.
• Track KPIs such as cycle time and on-time delivery and report variances.
• Maintain accurate ERP/MES data reflecting current production status.
• Support inventory management and planning targets for raw materials and finished goods.
• Participate in daily/weekly production meetings to communicate schedule status.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes and tools.
• Support new product introductions and capacity ramp activities.

Job Summary

The Planner is responsible for coordinating and executing production planning activities that support day-to-day manufacturing operations within the semiconductor facility. This role translates demand forecasts and capacity data into actionable production schedules, monitors work-in-progress flow, and adjusts plans to address material constraints, equipment availability, and shifting priorities. The Planner collaborates closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to balance throughput, cycle time, and on-time delivery targets. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make sound, data-driven decisions in a fast-paced, technically demanding environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Reduce SAP system delinquency by proactively identifying and resolving overdue orders, open transactions, and data discrepancies within SAP; monitor delinquency reports regularly and drive root-cause corrective actions to keep records current and accurate
• Manage the End-of-Life (EOL) process for assigned products/materials, including coordinating last-time-buy schedules, phase-out timelines, inventory drawdown, and communication with engineering, sales, and supply chain to ensure smooth product transitions with minimal disruption
• Develop and maintain production schedules for assigned manufacturing areas based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and inventory targets
• Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) levels and production flow to identify bottlenecks, delays, or capacity imbalances
• Adjust schedules in response to equipment downtime, material shortages, engineering holds, or priority changes
• Coordinate with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and materials teams to resolve scheduling conflicts and align on priorities
• Track key performance metrics such as cycle time, on-time delivery, output, and utilization; report variances and recommend corrective actions
• Maintain accurate data within planning and ERP/MES systems, ensuring schedules reflect current production status
• Support inventory management by coordinating raw material, WIP, and finished goods levels with planning targets
• Participate in daily/weekly production meetings to communicate schedule status and elevate risks
• Identify opportunities to improve planning processes, tools, and communication across shifts and teams
• Support new product introductions, engineering lot planning, and capacity ramp activities as needed

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2–5 years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or materials management, preferably in a semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing environment
• Hands‑on experience with SAP order management and EOL/product lifecycle processes strongly preferred
• Working knowledge of production planning concepts (capacity planning, WIP management, cycle time, lot-based scheduling)
• Proficiency with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Promis) and advanced Excel skills
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail
• Effective communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
• Ability to prioritize and adapt in a dynamic, fast‑paced manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes preferred

Travel Requirements

Moderate travel required (10-15% of time)

May include travel between manufacturing facilities and planning centers
