Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.
  • Experience in electronics/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills may be considered.
  • Knowledge of PPC and ERP systems is required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on demand and capacity.
  • Monitor production progress and adherence to the production plan.
  • Analyze capacity, manpower, machine utilization, and material availability.
  • Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics to resolve shortages.
  • Track production performance and identify bottlenecks to improve productivity.
  • Review and update production plans as customer requirements change.
  • Ensure timely release of work orders and production documentation.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods.
  • Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance analyses.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency.
  • Support ERP/MRP system planning and maintain accurate production data.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, and quality systems.

Job description

The Production Control Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordinating production activities to ensure on-time delivery, efficient resource utilization, and optimal inventory levels. This role collaborates closely with Production, Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Quality departments to achieve production targets while maintaining cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer demand and production capacity.

Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to the production plan.

Analyze production capacity, manpower, machine utilization, and material availability.

Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Warehouse, and Logistics to resolve material shortages and scheduling issues.

Track production performance and identify bottlenecks to improve productivity.

Review and update production plans according to changes in customer requirements.

Ensure timely release of work orders and production documentation.

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, WIP, and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock.

Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance analyses for management review.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reduce waste.

Support ERP/MRP system planning and maintain accurate production data.

Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality management systems.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Production Planning, Production Control, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.

Experience in an electronics or manufacturing environment is preferred.

Fresh graduates with strong analytical skills may also be considered.

Technical Skills

Knowledge of Production Planning and Control (PPC).

Understanding of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.

Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles is an advantage.

Ability to interpret production schedules and manufacturing KPIs.
