Job summary

EPS Malaysia in Malaysia is seeking a Production Planner to develop and maintain detailed production schedules aligned with demand forecasts and inventory levels.

You will monitor production processes, coordinate with procurement for timely material delivery, and manage inventories across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods while driving Lean improvements and cost reductions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in production planning or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience with production scheduling software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Monitor production processes, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate changes in priorities, material availability, or unexpected issues.
  • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods to ensure optimal stock levels.
  • Work with the procurement team to minimize excess inventory and reduce waste.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Serve as a key liaison between production, procurement, quality control, engineering, and logistics departments.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, including key metrics such as on-time delivery, production efficiency, and inventory levels.

About you
