Production Assistant -Inventory & Digital Operations

We are looking for an operations-oriented person with technology and automation capabilities, supporting both daily production operations and database maintenance initiatives. This is a hands‑on hybrid role that combines business operations with technology and process improvement. Candidates should be comfortable working with both digital systems and physical inventory. The successful candidate will work with Excel-based systems, structured product databases, inventory records, digital catalogues, tagging and barcode processes, while supporting the development and implementation of new operating workflows.

This position is suitable for candidates with an interest in IT, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related fields, who enjoy working with data, systems and process improvement in a business environment.

Candidates with basic knowledge of Excel functions, VBA, coding, automation, data management or database concepts will have an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management

• Perform stock in procedures as per instructed SOPs.
• Maintain stock receiving records and inventory registers.
• Support inventory movement tracking and stock reconciliation activities.
• Maintain and update product catalogue records.
• Create and manage product information according to company standards.
• Assist in product classification and supplier code mapping activities.
• Generate and prepare product tags and barcodes.
• Ensure accurate linkage between physical inventory and system records.
• Support traceability and stock identification initiatives.

Process & Documentation

• Follow established SOPs and operational procedures.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of inventory records.
• Support data validation, data cleansing, and process improvement activities.
• Participate in inventory audits and stock verification exercises.

Digital Systems & Process Improvement

• Support the development and maintenance of system-based operational modules and databases.
• Assist in improving data‑entry processes, templates, formulas and workflow controls.
• Support basic automation and process improvement initiatives using Excel functions, VBA/macros or other suitable tools.
• Support data preparation, validation and migration for future ERP implementation.
• Participate in digital transformation and continuous improvement projects.

Job Requirements

Minimum SPM, Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Business Administration, Accounting, Entrepreneurship or related disciplines. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Required language(s): Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia, English to effectively communicate with our diverse client base and stakeholders.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Excel functions, VBA/macros, programming, SQL, databases, automation or other coding languages will be an advantage.

Attention to detail, follow instructions and stay organized.

Willing to learn new systems and processes.

Good attitude and able to work well with the team.

Experience in inventory management, retail operations, data management, catalogue management, or administrative support is a bonus.
