Job summary

Private Advertiser in Shah Alam, Malaysia, is seeking a Pre-Sales Product Specialist to provide technical product support for new offerings and assist the sales team with selection, calculations, and proposals.

The role includes training sales staff and new joiners, supporting high-value models including automation, and sharing market insights with the sales department to stay competitive. Frequent travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in any field; Mechanical Engineering is an added advantage.
• Sales experience and cold calling experience are advantageous.
• Good communication and strong interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical product support and expertise for new product sales.
• Assist sales with product selection, calculations, suitability, and order specs.
• Support customer visits, site surveys, analyses, and solution proposals.
• Deliver product knowledge and training to sales team and new joiners.
• Coordinate training schedules and assign trainers.
• Handle high-value models including automation with sales support and technical expertise.
• Disseminate market, product, and competitor information to boost competitiveness.
• Support marketing with exhibitions, launches, and campaigns; assist in creating brochures.

Job description

1. Pre-Sales Product Specialist (Primary Responsibility)

Provide technical product support and expertise for sales of new product

Support Sales Team on Product selection, Technical calculations, application suitability, cost optimization check, verify and approve all incoming order specifications before order processing by Sales Admin Team

Assist Sales Team with customer visit, site survey, application analysis, solution proposals

2. Product Knowledge & Training

Provide product knowledge, application and expertise training to Sales Team

Conduct basic product training programs for new joiners from all departments and dealers network (if applicable)

Provide product knowledge and application expertise to customers upon request

Manage training schedule and assign trainer for specific product training

3. High Value & Special Product Responsibility

Responsible for sales support and technical expertise for high-value models including Automation

Analyse, maintain and disseminate market information, product information, competitor information, industry trends

Provide regular updates to Sales department to enhance competitiveness

Provide marketing and product feedback to factories to assist in new product development, product improvements, localization requirements

Provide marketing support including, Exhibitions, Roadshows, Product launches, advertising, mailing campaigns

Support development of product brochures, sales tools, marketing materials, case studies

Assist in planning product promotion strategies

Requirement

Diploma (minimum) or Degree in any field, Mechanical Engineering will be added advantage

Candidate with sales experience and cold call experience will be added advantage

Good communication skill, strong interpersonal skills and customer-focused mindset

Independent and responsible

Travel Requirement
