The Product Specialist is responsible for achieving assigned sales targets through disciplined territory management and effective engagement with healthcare customers across designated territories. This role contributes to DKSH's healthcare business by delivering compelling clinical and product expertise, executing approved marketing and promotional strategies, and building trusted, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals.
- Consistently achieve or exceed individual sales targets, applying structured territory management and focused customer engagement to maximize business performance
- Perform a minimum of 9 quality customer calls per day, prioritizing high-impact engagements that drive meaningful commercial outcomes
- Promote and sell assigned medical device products to pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare facilities within the designated territory
- Identify business opportunities within the territory and develop targeted action plans to maximize sales potential and grow market share
- Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with Healthcare Professionals (HCPs), pharmacists, and key decision-makers to foster long-term partnership and loyalty
- Deliver compelling product presentations, demonstrations, and value-based selling messages that effectively communicate product benefits to healthcare audiences
- Conduct Continuing Medical Education (CME) sessions in compliance with company policies and applicable regulatory requirements
- Provide timely follow-up and after-sales support to ensure sustained customer satisfaction and engagement
- Ensure effective coverage and regular servicing of all assigned outlets in accordance with the Master Customer List, planning and executing efficient call schedules and territory routing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions, activities, and feedback
- Monitor stock levels across assigned outlets and coordinate with internal teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations, ensuring products are properly displayed and merchandised in line with client and company guidelines
- Implement approved marketing strategies, promotional campaigns, and action plans to drive product awareness and sales growth
- Gather and communicate market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to management to support strategic decision-making
- Adhere to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ethical standards, and medical device regulatory requirements, while actively participating in training programs and supporting audits and continuous improvement initiatives
- Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
- Minimum Degree in Allied Science, Bioscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field; prior sales experience in General Practitioner (GP) clinics, private hospitals, or pharmaceutical settings is an advantage
- Experience in planning and conducting Continuing Medical Education (CME) talks
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the industry, market, competitors, customers, products, and services, with foundational selling skills
- Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements for products within assigned territories, including handling procedures, shelf life, and warranties
- Strong communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage confidently across diverse healthcare stakeholders
- Proficiency in office productivity tools including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
