Job summary

Jora Malaysia seeks an experienced engineer to drive sustaining activities, improve yield, reduce test time and quality issues while controlling costs across programs. • 4–8+ years of industrial experience in equipment development or equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of semiconductor processes, wafer processing and testing principles.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Management of product sustaining activities to improve yield, test time and quality, and reduce costs.
• Manage the introduction of new products (NPI) and ramp to volume manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Design, Quality and Failure Analysis to disposition excursions.
• Lead engineering activities during NPI including EVT/DVT and test program readiness before ramp.
• Drive product ramp to yield entitlement and address margin issues with operations and development.
• Provide technical/administrative/operational leadership within project guidelines.
• Define, generate and review project requirement documentation.
• Coordinate between resource managers and ensure reviews/approvals.

Job Responsibilities:

Management of product sustaining activities which include driving product performance improvement (yield, test time, quality, etc.) and cost reduction.

Manage the introduction of new products (NPI) and their ramp to volume manufacturing.

Work with the Manufacturing, Design, Quality, and Failure Analysis teams in the disposition of product excursions and manage cases through a material review board.

Manage the engineering activities during new product introduction including product test flow, EVT and DVT engineering activities, generation of buyoff units, and test program readiness before ramping to volume manufacturing.

Manage product ramp to yield entitlement. Drive all margin issues with operations and development teams.

Responsible for technical/administrative/operational leadership of a project/mission within the programmatic guidelines set by the program manager and customer.

Defines, generates and reviews project requirement documentation.

Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.

Job Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronics / Mechanical Engineering or above.

At least 4-8 years and above of industrial experience in equipment development or equipment maintenance experience.

Required Skills:

Product definition, yield analysis, wafer process and semiconductor knowledge, ATE/SLT testing methodology, project management.

Capable of working with cross functional teams like test & product development team, manufacturing, product planner, quality and failure analysis.

Independent, resourceful and takes initiative.
