Job summary

Calibre Events Solution Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks a motivated Retail Sales Associate to provide expert product knowledge and recommendations on consumer electronics, guiding customers to solutions that meet their needs.

You will promote, demonstrate and upsell products, maintain engaging displays, process transactions accurately, and deliver excellent customer service to ensure a premium shopping experience and repeat business.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in consumer electronics or similar technical retail environments.
• Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Excellent customer service and the ability to communicate with diverse customer demographics.
• Sound product knowledge of consumer electronics or a strong ability to acquire such knowledge quickly.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and retail management software.

Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring a seamless checkout experience

Maintain product displays and ensure the consumer electronics section is well-organised, visually appealing and fully stocked

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers to encourage repeat business and brand loyalty

Stay updated on product specifications, competitor offerings and market trends within the consumer electronics sector

Provide after-sales support, including product setup assistance and guidance on warranty and service options

Collaborate effectively with team members and management to achieve store objectives and deliver a consistent customer experience

What we're looking for

Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in consumer electronics, IT products or a similar technical retail environment

Strong sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customer demographics

Sound product knowledge of consumer electronics, including televisions, computers, audio systems, mobile devices and home appliances, or a strong ability to quickly acquire such knowledge

Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment whilst also working independently

Strong organisational skills and attention to detail

Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills

Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle product displays and stock management

Fluency in English; Bahasa Malaysia is preferred

Preferred: Previous experience working for Harvey Norman or similar premium retail brands
