Job summary

Food Valley Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Officer to manage purchasing activities, prepare Purchase Orders, liaise with suppliers, and ensure orders comply with policy. You will collaborate with RPM Store and Production teams to maintain materials at minimum levels, source quotations, negotiate terms, and review contracts for cost savings.

The role requires a diploma, at least 2 years' procurement experience, strong MS Office skills, and fluency in English, Malay and Mandarin,

Qualifications

• Diploma required.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement or related field.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Fluent in English, Malay and Mandarin.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Able to multitask and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Purchase Orders and liaise with suppliers to confirm or change orders in compliance with Company Procurement Policy and Procedures.
• Collaborate with RPM Store and Production Team to ensure raw materials and packaging materials available at minimum level, considering re-ordering requests to minimize obsolete and slow-moving stock.
• Collaborate with relevant personnel on artwork status and communicate with suppliers on latest amendments and changes.
• Follow up on orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Source for and compare quotations from vendors and contractors for procurement of goods and services.
• Manage supplier relations and negotiate with vendors for best terms in pricing, quality, delivery and payment terms.
• Review services, prices and contracts with vendors and advise Head of Department for improvement and propose alternative solutions for cost savings.
• Compile invoices against Delivery Orders and Purchase Orders to be handed to Finance department.
• Work closely with Finance Team to review payment terms annually with suppliers to generate cash flow improvements.
• Prepare reports, analyze and update management on procurement activities and performance.
