Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Procurement Protege Trainee in Kuala-Lumpur to support the APAC supplier review and onboarding processes. You will help review supplier data, collaborate with Category Buyers and suppliers, and maintain information in our e-portal.

The role requires a degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management and Mandarin proficiency to liaise with Taiwan/China stakeholders, along with strong MS Office skills including SharePoint, SAP ByDesign, Excel and PowerPoint.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
• Mandarin proficiency required to support stakeholders based in Taiwan/China.
• Strong MS Office skills including SharePoint, SAP ByDesign, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Support Category Buyer team in supplier review and onboarding for APAC region.
• Review supplier database and ensure information complies with group requirements.
• Collaborate with Category Buyers and suppliers to maintain supplier data in e-portal.
• Map and assess framework agreements for viability in APAC region.
• Track local framework and local agreement validity.
