Job summary

Naga Jaya Automotive Sdn. Bhd is seeking a dynamic Procurement & Product Assistant to join our team in Malaysia. The role covers product management, data entry, and sourcing activities to support purchasing, inventory, and distribution planning.

The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, proficient in English, and skilled in Excel and ERP systems. Experience with automotive parts and EPC catalogs is a plus.

• Organize findings into clear, structured spreadsheets and comparison reports for management review
• Support the Project Manager with ad-hoc research and analysis requests

Key Responsibilities:

• Product management and development
• Assist with document entry and creation as required
• Review and organize aftermarket compatibility information, cross-referencing OEM part numbers with multiple aftermarket alternatives
• Compare pricing, specifications, and product configurations across different brands and suppliers
• Use OEM EPC (E-catalogue) to identify and verify part numbers when needed
• Support purchasing, inventory, and distribution planning with data
• Organize findings into clear, structured spreadsheets and comparison reports for management review- Support the Project Manager with ad-hoc research and analysis requests

Qualifications / Beneficial skills:

• Proficient in English (speaking, writing, reading)
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• High attention to detail, especially when comparing part numbers, specifications, and pricing
• Experience using ERP and MS Office, particularly Excel (Solid hands-on Excel skills, not just basic familiarity)
• Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of automotive parts preferred

Preferred:

• Prior experience in parts sourcing, procurement, automotive retail, or related research roles
• Familiarity with OEM EPC systems or aftermarket parts catalogs
• Experience with Pivot Tables, INDEX/MATCH, or basic data modelling, a plus for future internal data responsibilities
• Background in competitive analysis, or product comparison work
• Self-motivated and comfortable working with ambiguous or incomplete information
• Genuine interest in or knowledge of automotive parts and the aftermarket industry
