Job summary

Aisin Asia Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an automotive technical support specialist to provide timely and accurate technical assistance to customers, suppliers and colleagues. The role includes trial fitment, diagnosing parts claims, and reporting with clear technical explanations.

You will evaluate, support the Business Development and Marketing teams from a technical perspective, compare competitor products, and contribute to manuals and training materials.

Qualifications

• Automotive technical and technology knowledge.
• Hands-on automotive repair and maintenance experience.
• Able to analyse problems, identify root cause, and document results.
• Good written and verbal communication in English or Chinese.
• Familiar with MS Office applications (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook).

Responsibilities

Job description

The overall goal of this position is to provide timely and accurate automotive technical support to customers, suppliers and other teammates.

Key responsibilities

• Trial fitment and evaluation for newly developed products
• Diagnose and troubleshoot parts claim and produce necessary reports with clear technical explanation
• Analyse parts claim situation and provide feedback to improve support process and enhance product quality
• Support Business Development Team and Marketing Team from automotive technical perspective to find out unique selling points for our products
• Support Marketing Team in technical perspective to find out common market practices to better publish our product strength in social media
• Evaluate and compare competitor products to support Business Development Team in launching suitable products to enhance business
• Conduct demonstration and presentation to different audiences for proper handling and installation of parts
• Assist in the development and updating of technical manuals, bulletins, and training materials
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss common issues and share solutions
• Engage workshop connection to gather actual workshop practices or common mistakes during installation or actual product pain point of our products

About you

• Automotive technical and technology certificate or above
• Hands on experience in automotive repair and maintenance jobs
• Work independently to analyses a problem, identify the root cause, and document the results
• Good written and verbal communication skill in English or Chinese
• Familiar with MS Office, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
• Malaysia with valid class 3 driving license
• Travel within Malaysia and overseas occasionally
• Familiar with Malaysia automotive parts industry will be an added advantage
• Able to start work within a short notice
