Job summary

Inhesion Industrial (M) Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Junior Operations Executive to join our factory team. The role focuses on Purchasing & Procurement, sourcing raw materials, equipment, and other factory needs, and collaborating with Chinese and overseas suppliers to secure competitive pricing and timely delivery.

You will support export shipping and coordinate with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, Finance, and Commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in purchasing, procurement, import/export, logistics, or manufacturing.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to communicate with Chinese suppliers is highly advantageous.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multiple departments.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing activities for factory requirements
• Source and purchase ceramic raw materials (clay, plaster, glaze, pigments, etc.)
• Purchase machinery, equipment, spare parts, tools, and general factory needs
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations; negotiate price, quality, specs, and delivery terms
• Coordinate with Chinese and overseas suppliers
• Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records
• Follow up on outstanding orders and monitor delivery schedules
• Coordinate imported materials with suppliers, freight forwarders, Warehouse, Production, Maintenance, and Finance
• Monitor material availability and stock levels to support production
• Prepare packing lists with Packing Department

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and organized Junior Operations Executive to join our factory team. The primary focus of this position is Purchasing & Procurement, including the sourcing and purchasing of raw materials, consumables, equipment, spare parts, and other factory requirements. The role will also involve working closely with Chinese and overseas suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, timely delivery, and reliable supply. The position will additionally support export shipping and commercial coordination, working closely with Production, Warehouse, Maintenance, Finance, Commercial, and other relevant departments.

Key responsibilities

Handle day-to-day purchasing activities for factory requirements

Source and purchase key ceramic raw materials, including clay, plaster, glaze, pigments, and other production materials

Purchase machinery, equipment, spare parts, tools, and general factory requirements

Obtain and compare supplier quotations and negotiate on price, quality, specifications, and delivery terms

Communicate and coordinate with Chinese and other overseas suppliers

Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate purchasing records and documentation

Follow up on outstanding orders and monitor delivery schedules

Coordinate imported materials and equipment with suppliers, freight forwarders, Warehouse, Production, Maintenance, and Finance

Monitor material availability and stock levels to support uninterrupted production

Prepare packing lists based on information received from the Packing Department

About you

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Purchasing, Logistics, Operations, Engineering, or a related field

Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–3 years of relevant experience

Experience in purchasing, procurement, import/export, logistics, or manufacturing

Good command of English, both written and spoken

Ability to communicate with Chinese suppliers is highly advantageous

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Strong communication, coordination, negotiation, and follow-up skills

Able to work independently and coordinate effectively with different departments

Willing to learn and work in a factory/manufacturing environment
