Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a seasoned Procurement Manager to oversee the procurement department in our manufacturing environment. You will drive direct and indirect sourcing, manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and lead a team to meet quality, delivery and cost targets.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 8+ years in procurement (3+ years in management), strong leadership, analytical, and ERP/MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics or related field.
• 8+ years procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within manufacturing.
• Strong direct and indirect procurement, supplier sourcing, negotiation and contract management experience.
• Knowledge of inventory control, commodity market trends; hedging experience is an advantage.
• Leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills; proficient in ERP and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the procurement department to ensure smooth execution of all jobs and activities.
• Oversee direct and indirect procurement functions within the company.
• Lead the procurement team and drive activities in line with policies to achieve department goals.
• Source, manage and coordinate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery and cost targets.
• Monitor raw materials and packaging materials to ensure stock accuracy and control levels.
• Train staff and ensure adherence to company and government policies and procedures.
• Ensure smooth office operation; manage expenditure and budget control.
• Handle ad-hoc projects as assigned and monitor commodities trends.
• Be in charge of hedging for raw materials and packaging materials.

• Oversee the working progress of Procurement Department to ensure all jobs / activities are being carried out smoothly.
• Oversee Direct and Indirect procurement function within the company
• Lead the procurement team and activities under its charge in line with established company policies & procedure, driving diligently towards achieving the department's goals.
• To source, manage and coordinate with suppliers to meet the company's goals in regards to quality, delivery and cost.
• To monitor all raw materials and packaging materials to ensure stock accuracy and within control level.
• Train and ensure all assigned staffs are aware of and comply with the company and government's policies and procedures.
• Ensure smooth operation of the office; manage office expenditure and budgetary control.
• Handle and participate in ad-hoc projects as assigned.
• Monitor commodities trend.
• In charge of hedging for raw material & packaging material.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of procurement experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience in direct and indirect procurement, supplier sourcing, negotiation, and contract management.
• Knowledge of inventory control, commodity market trends, and raw material/packaging material procurement; hedging experience is an added advantage.
• Strong leadership, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
