Responsibility
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities from purchase requisition to purchase order and delivery.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, availability, lead time, and service reliability.
- Obtain and compare quotations to ensure competitive pricing and value for money.
- Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial terms.
- Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, supplier documentation, and other procurement records.
- Follow up closely with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Coordinate with plantation sites and internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and ensure specifications are met.
- Support the procurement of plantation-related items such as fertilizers, agrochemicals, agricultural tools, PPE, spare parts, equipment, and general operational supplies.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, pricing details, and purchase documentation.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalation issues relating to quality, pricing, delays, or non-compliance.
- Assist in identifying potential new suppliers and alternative sources to improve cost competitiveness and supply continuity.
- Work closely with Finance and relevant departments to ensure proper documentation and timely invoice processing.
- Monitor purchasing trends and support cost-saving initiatives and procurement improvements.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, approval limits, and applicable requirements.
