CIMC WETRANS MALAYSIA SDN.BHD. is seeking a procurement professional to source and negotiate freight rates, manage carrier relationships, and support internal teams with pricing inquiries. The role requires attention to market trends and accurate documentation to ensure compliant billing.

Based in Klang area, the position initially requires one month at Bukit Tinggi Klang before relocation to Sunway Square. Immediate availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
• 1–2 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Source and negotiate competitive freight rates with carriers and co-loaders.
• Build relationships with transport providers and monitor performance.
• Support internal teams by handling rate inquiries and pricing requests.
• Monitor market trends to adjust procurement strategies.
• Verify documentation and assist with vendor billing reconciliation.

Job description

Rate Negotiation: Source and negotiate competitive freight rates (such as FCL, LCL, and air freight spot or contract rates) with carriers and co-loaders.

Vendor Management: Build relationships with transport providers, evaluate carrier performance, and manage volume allocations.

Internal Coordination: Support sales, operations, and customer service teams by quickly fulfilling rate inquiries and pricing requests.

Market Analysis: Monitor shipping capacity, bunker surcharges, and global trade trends to adjust procurement strategies.

Compliance & Billing: Ensure documentation aligns with shipping regulations, handle invoice verification, and reconcile vendor billing with finance.

Job Requirements

You will be required to work at our Bukit Tinggi Klang office for approximately one month before we relocate to Sunway Square

Candidates who are available to join immediately are preferred

Diploma or Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.

1–2 years of relevant procurement or purchasing experience is preferred.

Good negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
