Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Executive to oversee supplier management, purchasing, and stock control for packaging materials.

You will review stock status, coordinate with Planner, Production, QA, and R&D to meet requirements, and negotiate prices with suppliers to reduce costs. Strong English and Chinese communication is essential; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a procurement executive level.
• Strong understanding of packaging materials, design and production processes.
• Proven experience in procurement and supplier management, particularly within the packaging.
• Strong English and Chinese writing & communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review stock status and analyse the suggested order based on planning or forecast.
• Liaison with Planner, Production, QA, R&D to fulfil requirements.
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers to achieve cost reduction.
• Monitor order delivery to support Production and avoid line down.
• Handle import shipments, verify shipping documents, and follow up with forwarder.
• Keep inventory at a reasonable level through negotiations with suppliers.
• Summarize data, maintain the supply database, and propose purchasing strategies to avoid shortages or excess.
• Provide supporting documents of raw materials for QA and other requirements.
• Support R&D requirements as requested.

Review the stock status and analyse the suggested order based on Planning or Forecast.

Liaison with internal departments such as Planner, Production, QA, R&D to fulfil their requirements.

Negotiate pricing with suppliers to get the best price for achieving cost reduction.

Keep track and monitor the order delivery to support Production’s need to avoid a line down.

Familiar with handling the import shipments, including cross-checking the shipping documents from the supplier before the shipment arrives, liaison & follow-up with the forwarder agent for the shipment clearance status

Keep inventory at a reasonable level per requirements through negotiation with the supplier by pushing out, rescheduling, or even cancelling the open orders.

Responsible for data summarization, establishing the supply database of material purchasing, analysing, and proposing short-term & long-term purchasing strategies to avoid shortage and excess.

Provide supporting documents of raw materials based on the QA department’s requirements.

Work closely & support R&D’s requirement based on their request.

REQUIREMENT & QUALIFICATION

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field.
