Jora Malaysia is seeking a Procurement Executive to explore new suppliers, negotiate terms, and develop long-term partnerships. The role focuses on cost-saving initiatives, supplier development, and ensuring procurement aligns with business requirements.
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management and at least 3 years in sourcing. Experience with MRP/ERP systems and localization is a plus in a fast-paced startup environment.

The Procurement Executive primary function is to explore new suppliers at a competitive price while meeting the business requirement. This position focus on interaction with suppliers for development, cost saving initiative and long-term growth.
This position will require understanding on the different types of market commodities and leveraging it to meet the requirement and growth of the company.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Observe the highest standard of integrity and ethical business practice while performing daily activities in sourcing and procurement activities.
Ensure timely and accurate flow of information and documentation to stakeholders to meet performance expectation.
Identify market trend and develop long term sourcing strategy in conjunction with business requirement.
Undertake other role & responsibilities that are assigned by immediate superior from time to time until full closure.
Identify and source for potential suppliers for long term business relationship to be parked under Approved Vendor List (AVL)
Negotiate, evaluate, select and maintain the best procurement package in terms of quality, cost, delivery lead time and after sales services.
Undertake cost saving initiative projects and work with suppliers to meet the agreed target and objectives.
Work with legal counsel to ensure all procurement related contracts protects the legal interest of the company.
Compile and provide reports on procurement activities relating to budget and spent for respective business division.
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement process improvement to drive kaizen in the workplace.
Lead the supplier selection, qualification and assessment process.
Participate in supplier development and performance audit.
Compile, measure and manage supplier performance in terms of savings, payment terms and service level.
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent
Minimum of 3 years in sourcing and procurement role
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MRP / ERP system
Experience in launching a start-up company.
Experience in localization process
Extensive knowledge of supplier base and network
Ability to work independently and adapt to a fast paced and changing environment.
