Job summary

GP Batteries seeks a procurement professional to optimize supplier performance, ensure updates to specifications and BOMs, and manage POs in SAP. The role requires coordinating with store, production and logistics to maintain inventory within target levels and to support on-time production and delivery to customers.

You will analyze data, drive cost reductions, and work with the technical team on continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in procurement and supplier relationship management.
• Ability to release purchase orders and manage BOM/spec updates.
• Strong analytical skills for reporting and cost reduction.

Responsibilities

• Participate in cost reduction and product improvement programs.
• Maintain strong supplier relationships and performance.
• Purchase according to updated specifications, drawings, and BOMs.
• Coordinate with store, production, planner, logistics and related departments.
• Release POs in SAP to ensure timely material support; re-schedule to control inventory.
• Monitor supplier delivery and material support to production and shipment to customers.
• Sourcing authorization, vendor list management and price list maintenance in system.
• Perform analysis and reporting as required.
• Collaborate with technical team to drive continuous improvement.

Job description

• Participate and support cost reduction and product improvement programs to gain procurement saving.
• Provide optimum supplier performance and maintain good communication with supplier and sound professional supplier relationships.
• Ensuring purchase according to update specification, drawing and Bill of Materials.
• Liaise with store, production, planner, logistic and other related department of material requirements.
• Release Purchase Orders with agreed time frame setup in SAP system to ensure material support on timely manner. Re-schedule whenever necessary to ensure inventory within control level.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance and material support to production as well as shipment to customer.
• Authorize to sourcing, negotiation and maintain vendor list and price list in system.
• Responsible to perform analysis and reporting as require.
• Work together with technical team to drive continuous improvement.
