Job summary

Quess Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing professional to manage supplier relations, plan purchases aligned with production needs, and ensure timely delivery and quality of materials. The role involves supplier development, records maintenance, and close coordination with logistics to track shipments.

The candidate should have a Diploma or higher in Purchasing/Mech Manufacturing, with SAP familiarity and at least 1 year of relevant experience. This is a full-time on-site position based in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Diploma or above in Purchasing Management, Mechanical Manufacturing, or related field.
• Training in purchasing skills, business negotiation, commercial law, and product knowledge is preferred.
• At least 1 year purchasing experience in mechanical manufacturing.
• Experience in material procurement, purchasing management, and sourcing is preferred.
• Familiar with material purchasing processes and SAP operations.
• Good analytical, negotiation, and coordination skills.
• Basic knowledge of the mechanical manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and negotiate with suppliers to obtain best purchase prices and terms.
• Develop purchasing plans based on production or business needs to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
• Develop new suppliers, evaluate potential suppliers, and establish and maintain supplier records.
• Handle daily warehouse operations, including receiving, issuing, and recording goods; update inventory records.
• Assist with import and export customs clearance by preparing documents and coordinating with the import/export dept.
• Maintain close communication with logistics carriers, track transportation status and coordinate solutions.
• Print shipping labels accurately according to shipping orders.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

• Develop new suppliers, evaluate potential suppliers, and establish and maintain supplier records to ensure they meet the company's requirements.
• Handle daily warehouse operations, including receiving, issuing, and recording goods. Update inventory information promptly and ensure stock records are accurate.
• Assist with import and export customs clearance by preparing documents, tracking clearance progress, and coordinating with the import/export department.
• Maintain close communication with logistics carriers, track transportation status, report delivery issues, and coordinate solutions.
• Print shipping labels accurately according to shipping orders.
• Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.
