Job summary

Chin Hin Group Berhad is seeking a procurement professional to source and obtain quotations from suppliers for roofing materials, steel products, battens, and related items. The role requires preparing POs, tracking order status, and coordinating with warehouse teams to ensure material availability.

The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in purchasing or supply chain, with exposure to manufacturing or construction-related industries considered advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions.
• Experience in manufacturing, building materials, steel, construction, or related industries is an added advantage.

• Source and obtain quotations from suppliers for roofing materials, steel products, battens, and related items.
• Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time.
• Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure material availability.
• Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and purchasing documentation.
• Support cost-saving initiatives through supplier comparison and negotiation.
• Prepare purchasing and procurement reports as required by management.

Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and on time.

Follow up with suppliers on order status and delivery schedules.

Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure material availability.

Maintain good relationships with existing suppliers and assist in sourcing new suppliers when required.

Monitor inventory levels and support replenishment planning.

Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier information, and purchasing documentation.

Assist in resolving delivery discrepancies, supply issues, and vendor-related matters.

Support cost-saving initiatives through supplier comparison and negotiation.

Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.

Prepare purchasing and procurement reports as required by management.
