Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Purchasing/Procurement professional based in Simpang Pulai, Ipoh. You will source suppliers, evaluate items, negotiate prices, and manage vendor performance to ensure timely delivery and cost savings.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in any field.
• Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia language skills.
• Minimum 3 years in purchasing/procurement or related field.
• Based in Simpang Pulai, Ipoh, Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and select new items/materials with negotiated prices.
• Process purchase orders and liaise with vendors/forwarders on delivery and documentation.
• Maintain store and purchasing operations in line with ISO and company policies.
• Supervise store personnel and stock control (receiving, storage, issuing).
• Maintain vendor management system and monitor supplier performance.
• Prepare purchasing reports and analyze data for improvement.
• Handle invoices and payments processing.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Sourcing for new items/materials requested with negotiated price.

Perform supplier sourcing, evaluation, assessment and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, vendor relationship management and continuous improvement for the company.

Responsible to process purchase orders in the system.

Liaise closely with vendors, forwarders on shipment delivery, documentation & custom clearance.

Responsible to the store & purchasing operation in accordance with ISO & company policies and procedures.

Supervise the store personnel and ensure effective and efficient store management (include stock in, stock out, goods receiving, storage and goods issuances).

Maintain and upkeep a good vendor management system.

Source for new parts, materials, services, or suppliers when the need arises.

Perform purchase, delivery planning, delivery control and stock control of materials.

Deal with suppliers on any quality issues, products replacement, products sample requests, pricing, etc.

Participate in purchasing reports preparation.

Perform data analysis for improvements in purchasing and store operation.

Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.

Ensure that any invoices are sent to account for payment

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degreein any field.

Required language(s): Mandarin, English, Bahasa Malaysia."We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."

At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Purchasing/Inventory/Material & Warehouse Management or equivalent.
