Job summary

Kaifa Technology (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled DIP Technician in Penang to support SMT/DIP process operations. You will handle pick-and-place, reflow profiling, and solder paste printing parameters to ensure high-quality assemblies.

The role requires 1+ years of SMT/DIP experience, knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards, and strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities. You will also troubleshoot defects and assist in root cause analysis for ongoing quality improvement.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of SMT/DIP process technician experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and common soldering defects.
• Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain SMT/DIP equipment such as pick-and-place, reflow ovens, SPI/AOI.
• Set up and monitor solder paste printing thickness and stencil cleaning frequency.
• Take and optimize reflow profiles to prevent defects like cold solder and tombstoning.
• Troubleshoot common SMT defects and assist root cause analysis.
• Inspect through-hole component insertion quality and resolve wave soldering defects.

Job description

Familiar with SMT equipment and process (pick-and-place machines, reflow ovens, SPI/AOI)

Set up and monitor solder paste printing parameters (thickness, stencil cleaning frequency)

Take and optimize reflow profiles to prevent defects (cold solder, tombstoning, bridging)

Troubleshoot common SMT defects (missing components, misalignment, etc.) and escape complex issues DIP Technician:

Familiar with wave soldering machines and cutting equipment and other equipment

Adjust wave soldering parameters (wave height, preheat temperature, conveyor speed

Inspect through-hole component insertion quality (e.g., capacitors, connectors)

Resolve wave soldering defects (poor wetting, voids, bridges) and support root cause analysis

Job Requirements

1. 1+ years of SMT/DIP process technician experience is preferred
2. Basic knowledge of IPC-A-610 standards and common soldering defects
