Job summary

Agensi Pekerjaan Minde Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a Sr. SMT Programming Engineer to oversee SMT production, manage equipment and SOPs, troubleshoot defects, and supervise engineers. The role requires leadership, problem-solving, and strong communication to ensure quality and throughput in a busy PCB assembly environment.

Ideal candidates have 5 years of SMT experience and familiarity with pick-and-place and reflow equipment, as well as PCBA processes such as SMT, Wave Soldering, and Auto Insert.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the SMT production process including component placement and soldering.

• Perform IQ/OQ/PQ validations and generate protocols/test reports.
• Maintain processes, equipment, and SOPs.
• Supervise and train engineers/technicians.
• Collaborate with QA to meet quality standards.
• Manage equipment maintenance and vendor coordination.
• Monitor production KPIs and provide support.

• Troubleshoot, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
• Analyze yield of SMT processes to ensure process capabilities and throughput.
• Analyze SMT defects to determine likely failure modes.
• Perform process validations as required, IQ/OQ/PQ, generate protocols and test reports
• Maintain processes, equipment, and SOPs.
• Supervise and train engineers/technicians.
• Collaborate with QA to meet quality standards.
• Manage equipment maintenance and vendor coordination.
• Monitor production KPIs and provide support.

Job Requirements:

• 5 years of SMT experience.
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of SMT equipment (e.g., pick-and-place, reflow ovens).
• Familiar with PCBA process - SMT, Manual Insert, Wave Soldering, Auto Insert & Box Build process.
