Job summary

ROHDE & SCHWARZ GmbH & Co. KG in Malaysia seeks an SMT Technician to setup and optimize SMT lines, including paste printers, pick-and-place, SPI/AOI, and reflow ovens. You will load feeders and verify processes, perform program loading and alignment checks, and monitor production flow.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting misalignment and defects, reviewing SPI/AOI results, maintaining IPC-A-610 compliance, and conducting preventive maintenance to reduce downtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up solder paste printers, pick-and-place machines, SPI, AOI, and reflow ovens
• Load feeders, components, materials, and perform verification process
• Perform program loading and alignment checks
• Manage change over and first article verification
• Monitor machine performance and ensure stable production flow
• Diagnose and correct issues such as misalignment, tombstoning, solder bridging, and missing components
• Troubleshoot feeder faults, nozzle problems, vacuum issues, and machine errors
• Optimize printing parameters, placement accuracy, and reflow temperature profiles
• Support continuous improvement of SMT processes
• Review SPI/AOI results and take corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 and internal quality standards
• Documentation of defects and assist in root-cause analysis activity
• Conduct routine cleaning and calibration
• Maintain nozzles and feeders to reduce downtime
• Record all maintenance activities following SOPs
