Job summary

Globetronics Sdn. Bhd. in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia seeks a technically skilled professional with LED background and at least 3 years of relevant experience. The role involves hands-on LED production processes, documentation, and continuous improvement using Lean/Six Sigma tools.

You will work with equipment such as ASM, K&S, BESI or similar, handling troubleshooting, process optimization, and customer-facing quality actions in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of working experience in the above field and LED background.
• MS Office skills including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Preferably with Engineering background in Electrical/Electronic, Industrial or Mechanical fields.

Responsibilities

• Hands on experience in LED product - FOL (Wire Bond & Die Attach) / EOL / Testing / SMT processes.
• Generate engineering documents/reports (e.g. 8D, OCAP, FMEA, WI, Process Flow).
• Address customer complaints using 8D methodology with team collaboration; update learnings into FMEA/CP.
• Strong knowledge of equipment setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and equipment improvement.
• Perform process troubleshooting and root cause analysis for quality and production issues.
• Oversee FOL/EOL/Testing/SMT back-end processes to ensure processes meet customer specs and drive improvements.

2) At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the above field and relevant experience in LED background.
3) Required skill(s): MS PowerPoint, MS Word & MS Excel.
4) Preferably specializing in Engineering - Electrical or equivalent.
5) Applicants must be willing to work in any subsidiary of Globetronics based in Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia.

Job Descriptions

• Hands on Experience in LED product - FOL (Wire Bond & Die Attach) / EOL / Testing / SMT processes.
• Able to generate engineering documents/reports (e.g. 8D, OCAP, FMEA, WI, Process Flow).
• To do Corrective Action Plan & address the customer complaints by 8D methodology with team work, update the learning into FMEA/CP.
• Strong knowledge of equipment setup, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and equipment improvement
• Perform process troubleshooting and root cause analysis for quality and production issues.
• Oversee FOL/EOL/Testing/SMT back-end processes to ensure that each process operates in full compliance within the customer specs & requests; and evaluate for improvement/s.
• Provides disposition on lots by checking and verifying the affected units based on specs and criteria, and generate corrective action.
• Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, SPC, DOE, and other quality tools.
• Familiar with yield improvement, machine downtime reduction and process/equipment optimization.
• Experience with equipment such as ASM, K&S, BESI, Shinkawa or similar machines is an advantage.
• Analyze results, detect issues and trace root causes that are found during process.
• Ensure result within the specs requirement according to specs provided by costumer.
• Perform disposition of failures and feedback to customer to get a final disposition before release the machine or lots to production.
• Support customer audits and internal quality initiatives.
