Job summary

Opulent Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a production operator for SMT duties in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The role involves creating and updating standard operating procedures for SMT, and guiding operators on testing and assembly methods according to established SOPs and work instructions.

The candidate will set up production equipment, address repairs and line changes, analyze defects, and drive improvements in yield and throughput.

Qualifications

• SPM or professional certificate or engineering qualification as stated.
• Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English languages required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update SOP for SMT processes.
• Set up production equipment and troubleshoot line issues to ensure smooth operation.
• Improve product yield and rolled throughput yield on the line.
• Analyze defects from the production line and implement corrective actions.
• Instruct operators on testing & assembly methods according to SOP/work instructions.
• Maintain housekeeping and ensure tools and fixtures are stored properly.

Job description

Responsible for the preparation of SOP for SMT.

Create and update SMT related documents when required.

Set-up production equipment, repair, reject items and solve quality problem on production line. Ensure production run smoothly.

Upgrade product yield rate and rolled throughput yield rate.

Reduce operation mistake on production line.

Analysis defect set from production line.

Line set up and perform checking during line change over.

Instruct testing & assembly method to production operators according to SOP, work instructions & procedure.

Prepare daily repaired report.

Responsible to ensure tools, fixtures and tester are properly stored and in good condition.

Must help to protect the environment during performance of their daily job.

Implement and met the requirement of quality.

Ensure good housekeeping in production area.

To co-operate with production people to produce a quality product and to meet production target according production schedule.

Carry out his job function which required by his superior.

Feedback to supervisor if facing any production problems.

Job Qualification:

Candidate must possess at least a SPM, Professional Certificate, Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Engineering (Others) or equivalent.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, and English."We are looking for Mandarin-speaking candidates who will be serving Mandarin-speaking customers."

At least 2 year(s) of working experience in the related field (SMT operation or programming) is required for this position.

Able to support overtime and on shift.

Preferably non-executives specializing in Manufacturing/Production Operations or equivalent.
